Terms of Use
Using Project Life
These terms are the agreement between you and Project Life when you use the app. By using Project Life, you agree to them.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Project Life, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. What Project Life is
Project Life is a wellness and reflection app with an AI companion named Lira. It offers journaling, gentle daily practices, and supportive conversation. It is for general wellbeing only and is not a medical or mental-health service (see section 10).
3. Your account
You need an account to use the app, created through Apple, Google, or email. You’re responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Project Life is intended for people aged 17 and older.
4. Using the app responsibly
Please use Project Life only for its intended, lawful purpose. You agree not to misuse the app — for example, by attempting to break or disrupt it, access other people’s accounts, or use it to harm yourself or others. Do not rely on the app in an emergency.
5. Lira and AI content
Lira’s responses are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for your situation, and they are not professional advice of any kind. Use your own judgment, and don’t treat Lira’s messages as instructions to act on. To generate replies, your messages are processed by a third-party AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Your content
Everything you write in Project Life — your reflections, entries, and conversations — belongs to you. We don’t claim ownership of it. You give us permission only to store your content, sync it to your account, and process it as needed to run the app (including sending your messages to our AI provider so Lira can reply). We don’t use your content for advertising, and we don’t sell it.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
Some features may be offered as paid purchases or subscriptions in the future. If they are, payment is handled by Apple through your App Store account, and any subscription renews and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store settings. Prices and what’s included will be shown to you before you buy.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the app running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the app grows.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Project Life at any time and delete your account and all its data from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end access for accounts that break these terms or misuse the app.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Project Life is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy; Lira is not a doctor, therapist, or licensed professional. Nothing in the app replaces care from a qualified provider. If you are in crisis or may be in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your country right away.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Project Life is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of the app or reliance on its content.
11. Governing terms
These terms are governed by applicable law. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. For apps downloaded from the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard licensed-application terms also apply in addition to these.
